Wild Art Dolls

These dolls are machine and hand embroidered and heavily embellished. They measure between 8 and 15 inches. Prices vary from £10 to 15. (Some are already sold and those available can been seen on my Etsy site)

Serendipity

Worked in cable stitch text as the larger message dolls below. She is 77cm tall, with bead joints and wired fingers. Based on a pattern by Patti Culea. Price £150

Teas Maid

This doll is made from used Earl Grey Tea Bags.  The tea bags have been dried, emptied and stitched to a cotton background with the word Tea Bag.  The hair is made from tea bag beads. Price £150

Message Dolls

The four dolls shown below are covered in text. Anyone wanting a doll made like this chooses the colours and words. The words can be anything from personal intentions to song lyrics. Hair is added appropriately to the dolls colour or message. These dolls are approximately 22cm tall.

Larger Message Dolls

The dolls below are also covered in text but it is not legible, making them even more special! Even their hair is text - written by embroidery machine onto water soluble fabric, leaving just a thread message!

The Gold doll measures 60cm in height and has wire in the front part of her hair.

The purple doll measures 48cm

Dulinn - The Goblin Princess - March 2005 Price £150

This doll was made for the Goblin Princess Challenge set by Patti Culea via the www.joggles.com website. My first attempt at a doll with both hands and facial features!

She is dressed with a protective metal bodice (made from my favourite material - annealed coke can). Her skirts are wispy chiffon, nets and lace overskirt. All were dyed with purple dye and topped with gold Markel paint stick.

Her sceptre is a ‘cat’ head  in gold symbolising her gentle nature and love of animals.  Price £150

Peaceblossom - Rock Chick Fairy

Below are photos of Peaceblossom. She is my entry into the Knitting and Stitching Show Basic Babe competition for 2004. She is my first ever doll and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with water soluable fabric. Peaceblossom is dressed in machine made lace pieces, cords and of course I had to add can pieces - they end her hair!!!
