This piece was based on the use of text  - making a simple vessel, using techniques taught by Val Campbell-Harding on the Machine Embroidery course. The vessel (left) is 5 sided and covered with the word Babcia (Polish for Grandmother) and featured in an article on Workshop on the Web.
Tea Pot - Vessel made using empty and dried used tea bags. Outside reads 'tea and coffee'. Inside reads 'milk, sugar, teaspoon'.

Art Boxes - The box below is made using my favourite material - aluminium drinks can. Heavily machined into the background fabrics.

Close up

The box on the right is made  using the coffee grid/newspaper background with can pieces applied. Measure approx 9cm tall.

Lumiere

This piece is based on iron work in Cheltenham and is made of machine embroidered garden wire surrounding a machine embroidered aluminium can. This central can holds a large candle.
